Wednesday, January 31, 2007
Bolton striker prodigy Johann Smith will spend the rest of the season playing for League One battlers Carlisle United after completing a loan move on the final day of the January transfer period.

The US Under-20 star will be expected to help the 10th place outfit in front of goal - perhaps as soon as Wednesday's showdown with visiting Nottingham Forest.

"It's just gone through with the league," Blues representative Emma Story told YA. "Hopefully, he'll be playing tonight."

Smith - who made one Bolton appearance in each of the Premiership, FA Cup and Carling Cup this season - is being sent out by Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce to gain valuable first team experience.
