KNOCK WON'T KEEP DEMERIT FROM CAMP
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME

Watford defender Jay DeMerit might have his US National Team debut delayed slightly by the groin injury that kept him out of action Saturday, but he should be fit for the Guatemala match on March 28th.

The Yank pulled up lame in practice and may not be ready to go when the Red, White & Blue face Ecuador three days prior.

DeMerit flies to Bradenton on Sunday, but will need a few days to catch up with the rest of the squad.

"I nicked my groin in training on Thursday," he told YA. "It is a grade-one pull, so not serious. It's basically a four to five day recovery period."

"The Watford physios spoke to the US Soccer physios and agreed I was good to go."

DeMerit had to wait a long time for his US call-up, and says he isn't taking playing time for granted.

"I am excited to be going out there," declared the Green Bay native. "But it is just the first step."
