Former Wake Forest star Jeremiah White has signed a two-year deal with FC Gueugnon of French Ligue 2, following his trial with the club in the beginning of May.

"[White] signed a professional contract for the next two seasons," Gueugnon Communications Director Baptiste Malherbe told Yanks Abroad. "He'll be joining the side for summer training camp on June 27."

FC Gueugnon finished 12th in Ligue 2 last year and have consistently finished in the middle of the table since having been relegated at the end of the 1995 season - the only season they have ever played in the French top flight.

White, 23, was previously a member of OFK Beograd in Serbia, and more recently, with second division Greek side Panserraikos from whom he was released in January following a contract dispute.

Prior to his trial with Gueugnon, White also spent a time training with FC Nordsjaelland of Denmark's Superligaen and home to fellow American Heath Pearce.
