Club Career

Wooten, the son of an American serviceman, was born in Bamberg, Germany. The target forward joined Kaiserslautern's reserve team in 2009 after a spell with Wormatia Worms.

After a quiet first season during which Wooten scored just three goals, he showed marked improvement. The forward tallied 15 goals in 29 matches for Kaiserslautern II during the 2010-11 season.

Wooten began the 2011-12 season in even more impressive fashion, equaling the previous season's goal total of 15 by the end of February. Wooten's hot form, Kaiserslautern's poor goalscoring record, and an injury crisis resulted in a call up to teh first team in March 2012, when he made his Bundesliga debut.

Kaiserslautern brought in several experienced strikers prior to the 2012-13 campaign. As a result, Wooten went on loan to fellow 2.Bundesliga club Sandhausen in search of playing time.

Wooten was sent out for another loan spell in 2014, this time with FSV Frankfurt.

In June 2014, Wooten signed a three-year contract with Sandhausen.

International Career

Wooten has participated in several US under-23 camps under Caleb Porter.

The German regular season is finished, however a pair of American players still have work to do in the promotion/relegation playoffs.
