Club Career
Westberg joined ESTAC Troyes in 2002 from the Clairefontaine Football Academy, the prestigious Parisien club that has also produced the likes of Thierry Henry and Louis Saha.

Westberg dutifully served as Troyes' backup for many seasons. During his tenure, the club dropped from Ligue 1 to Ligue 2 and eventually suffered relegation to the Championnat National in 2009. The following year, Westberg finally received a chance to start and he helped lead his club to a timely return to Ligue 2.

However, Westberg fell out of favor following a change of club leadership following the season and his contract was not renewed. Undeterred, Westberg landed in Ligue 2 anyway after signing with Evian, although he again found himself a backup behind an entrenched incumbent.

International Career
Westberg has been involved with the U.S. ODP since being spotted by US coaches during a youth tournament in Toulon, France where his club side was participating. He was invited to come train with the U-17 club and has been a fixture on the youth team ever since, eventually progressing to the U-20s

Westberg made 14 appearances for the U.S. U-20 team in 2004, finishing strong while anchoring a mini-tournament winning side in Florida, posting a shutout against Honduras and securing a win against Mexico in November, finishing the year with four wins in a row, three of them shutouts.

Westberg appeared in several camps for the U-23 team, but did not make the Olympic squad.

He has not appeared for the full national team.

The young soccer careers of Rubio Rubin and Brady Scott are headed in completely opposite directions.
