Club Career

In 2012, Canouse, 16, signed with Bundesliga side TSG 1899 Hoffenheim after spending the previous year with the club’s youth academy. He would earn academy Player of the Year honors for his play with Hoffenheim’s U-17s as the team’s captain. He would also captain Hoffenheim U-19s during their run to an A-Junior Bundesliga title in 2014. On March 12, 2016, Canouse made his first team debut in a game against Wolfsburg.

In June 2016, Hoffenheim announced that Canouse would go out on loan to 2.Bundesliga side Vfl Bochum. The loan is set for two years.

International Career

Canouse has so far played for the United States Under-17 and 20 teams.
