Club Career

After stints at UCLA and Rutgers University, Silva launched his professional soccer career in 2017 by signing on with FC Golden State Force in USL League Two.

Following the single season with the California-based team, the goalkeeper headed across the pond to Scotland, where he signed a contract with Hearts. Finding himself down the pecking order, the SPL team decided to send him out on a season-long loan to Raith Rovers in Scotland's League One. However, he was still unable to break into the starting lineup for them.

In May 2019, Hearts decided to send Silva out on another loan, this time to Toronto FC II in USL League One.

International Career

Silva has represented the United States at the U-17 and U-19 levels.

He has yet to be called up to the senior team.

With Jesse Marsch and David Wagner at the helms of teams in the top flight, YA will cover their exploits this season.
