Club Career

Barbir signed his first professional contract with West Bromwich Albion in England in 2015. In early 2017, he would go for a tryout with Stoke City, playing three games and scoring one goal for their under-23 team.

Barbir returned to North America in September 2017 to play for Whitecaps FC 2, Vancouver's reserve team, in the United Soccer League. However, that would prove to be a short stay as Vancouver dissolved WFC2 two months later.

In February 2018, Babir would head to his father's home of Romania to sign with FC Astra Giurgiu. The team would send him out on loan to Germany in 2019, where he played for Sandhausen II.

International Career

The product of a Cuban mother and Romanian father, Babir has so far represented the United States at the international level.

Babir has played for the US U-17 and U-19 teams.
