Prior to moving into the professional ranks, Spaulding would spend time with the CASL Railhawks USSF Academy U-16 and U-18 teams. His performances at youth level would earn him an invite to train with the Railhawks professional team.

Following two seasons with the 49ers, Spaulding would make the move to France, where signed with Stade Briochin in the Championnat National 2 thanks to the help of former US national team player Dario Brose.
