Club Career

Durkin started his professional career in March 2015 when he signed a contract with the Richmond Kickers in the United Soccer League. A year later, he would make the move to Major League Soccer as he signed with DC United. He would make his debut for the team in June 2016 in US Open Cup game against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers.

The midfielder would have to wait until March 2018 to make his league debut as DC United faced Orlando City. In April 2019, he would score his first goal for United against the Colorado Rapids.

In August 2019, it was announced that Durkin join Belgian top flight team Sint-Truiden on season-long loan.

International Career

Durkin has represented the United States since the Under-17 team. He would play at the 2017 CONCACAF U-17 Championship and the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

He would then make the move to the Under-20 team, making the roster for the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
