Club Career

Soto launched his soccer career in San Diego, California before heading to Utah where he joined the academy of Major League Soccer's Real Salt Lake.

In August 2018, Soto moved to Germany where he joined the academy of Hannover 96. After making an impression, he would make his professional debut with the team in April 2019 as he came off the bench in the team's 3-1 loss to Wolfsburg. For the rest of his time in Germany, he would bounce between the first team and reserves.

In July 2020, Soto left Hannover and moved to England where he signed a three-year deal with Norwich City.

International Career

Soto's first interaction with the U.S. national team program came with the Under-19 team in May 2018 as he scored five goals in the Slovakia Cup tournament. He would be awarded the Golden Boot as the top scorer.

He then moved on to the Under-20 team and helped them to win the 2018 CONCACAF U-18 Championship. At the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland, Soto would score four goals in the tournament, two each in games against Nigeria and France.

Jesse Marsch has claimed a personal accolade as he's been named Coach of the Year in Austria.
