The USSF today announced that the US national team will play their first match of 2011 in a friendly against Chile on Saturday, January 22nd at the Home Depot Center.

The match will conclude the annual January camp for MLS and Scandinavian based players.

Both teams will be missing their top European based players.

The US and Chile each advanced out of group play at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa before bowing out in the Round of 16.

The Two teams have met a total of eight times in their history with the US having a record of 3-4-1 against the Chileans.
