West Ham United will not be exercising their option to purchase George John and the defender will now return to FC Dallas.
The news was reported on FC Dallas' website
John, 24, did not make a first team appearance at West Ham and played mostly with the reserve team. West Ham are currently in second place in the Championship and are favorites to be promoted to the Premier League next year.
The deal is the second setback for the central defenderJohn over the past year. Back in August, FC Dallas and Blackburn agreed on terms for a transfer for John but the two sides could not agree on the personal terms to finalize the deal.
John is yet to be capped by the United States national team. He was called into the January camp but he withdrew to play with West Ham.
