CHRISTOPHER MCCOLLUM - Thursday, May 17, 2012
Tuesday night's Special Edition episode of the Yanks Abroad Podcast is online.

After Jurgen Klinsmann released his preliminary National Team roster for the summer, it was decided to go live with a special episode of the Yanks Abroad Podcast to provide immediate analysis on his selections and the players that were not included, with the obvious focus being on Timmy Chandler.

For the hour long show, Christopher McCollum, Brian Sciaretta, John Kretlow and Jamie Hill discuss the defensive selections, midfield selections, and anticipated callups during the second roster release scheduled for Sunday that will include a mixture of MLS and remaining international based players who are still finishing up their seasons.

The show is concluded with a long question and answer session with listeners, covering Eric Lichaj, Chandler, Alfredo Morales, Gregg Berhalter, and other topics.

Here is a German opinion on Chandler. When Lw said he was not interested in Chandler at all, he was serious, he does not change his mind on players he feels do not have the right attitude or for that matter fit in his playing philosophy, both attributes Jermaine Jones had. Additionally as a matter of principle now-a-days the German FA will not select dual nationality players who are not fully committed to Germany. Chandler might have discovered the hard way that it's his attitude to playing for a national team that's the problem, not Germany or whatever other nonsense he might had uttered to initially please the American media.
