MALLON TRAINS WITH OLDHAM ATHLETIC
EXTRA TIME
JOHN KRETLOW - Thursday, March 25, 2010
Oldham Athletic confirmed that American left-back James Mallon trained with the club this week.

The 21-year-old currently plays collegiately for Randolph Macon College in Virginia and reports out of England this week spoke of the player's training with the Latics.

"He was training with them," said Oldham Athletic spokeswomen Judith Lane to Yanks-Abroad. She also went on to mention that Mallon was not on trial.

The team website stated that Mallon got the opportunity to train with Oldham through his uncle, Mike Newton, who is a director with the team. "He was here with a relative," confirmed Lane.

Mallon has left England already and returned to the United States.
