The USMNT may not be finished with Saprissa
The Costa Rican Federation is aiming to schedule their home qualifier against the United States at Estadio Saprissa on September 6.

The news was reported by Costa Rica's Aldia website.

The USMNT victory over Costa Rica will stand
FIFA has refused to accept Costa Rica's appeal for their 1-0 loss on Friday to the United States and the result will stand.

The game made international headlines for being played in Denver under the brutal conditions of a driving snowstorm. The lines on the field had to be shoveled and by the second half, the entire field was covered in snow.

Captain Dempsey and the USMNT get three huge points
In a game that will never be forgotten by anyone who watched on TV, the United States defeated Costa Rica on Friday night.

Played in a driving snowstorm, it was a crucial World Cup qualifier for the US team and a game it needed pick up three points. Despite all the turmoil of the past week, the US team managed to succeed and will now head to Mexico without the pressure of needing a win at Azteca - something it has never done in an official competition.

Tuesday was a great day for American soccer that will have fans happy even despite recent struggles of the national team.

First, the US U-20 team qualified for the 2013 World Cup in Turkey with a convincing 4-2 win over Canada. In the victory, the Americans played attractive, skillful soccer that showed progress at the youth level. Following recent failures of the 2011 U-20 team and the 2012 U-23 team, this a good performance from this team was needed and the players delivered.
