Maurice Edu played 90 minutes as Bursaspor won a wild match over Trabzonspor to remain in fourth place.
The match saw all five goals before the stroke of half time when, apparently, defense was discussed by the two manager's.
Bursaspor opened the scoring immediately when red hot Argentine midfield Pablo Batalla scored from four yards to give the hosts a 1-0 advantage. However, just nine minutes later, Paul Henrique beat the Bursaspor offside trap and put the ball past a diving Scott Carson. Halil Altintop added his fourth goal of the season in the 22nd minute after losing his defender and slotting it into the top left of goal.
The Green Crocodiles would not trail for long. Edu was taken down by a nasty foul about 15 yards outside the box, which resulted in a yellow card for Souleymane Bamba. Batalla brilliantly back headed the free kick past a helpless Onur Kivrak to tie the match.
Bursaspor's third goal will likely go down as one of the best in the 2012-13 Turkish season. Sener Ozbayrakli, a defender, scored from the edge of the 18 yard box and drilling a shot that beat Kivrak near side during a counter attack, which proved to be the match winner.
Both teams had additional chances in the second half but no one was able to convert and Bursaspor eeked out a tough win against 1461. Edu and Bursaspor travel to Kasımpaşa next week.
