ANDY SCHREUR - Friday, March 29, 2013
Bryan Gerzicich and Ironi Kiryat Shmona will resume Israeli playoff action against Bnei Yehuda on Saturday in their quest to qualify for the Europa League.

Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv - Ironi Kiryat Shmona

Gerzicich and the Blue Lions opened their playoff run with a disappointing 1-0 loss to Hapoel Tel Aviv at home on March 16th while Bnei Yehuda opened theirs with a 1-0 loss to Maccabi Haifa.

Kiryat Shmona are currently in fourth place with 43 points and trail Hapoel Tel Aviv, who occupy the final Europa League qualification spot, by two points. Yehuda are five points back with 38 going into the second playoff weekend, and absolutely must win in order to have any hope of qualifying.

The Blue Lions will attempt to reach third place and the Europa League qualification after winning their first Ligat Ha'al title last year. League leading Maccabi Tel Aviv is 10 points clear of Haifa and are expected to hold that lead and win their 19th Israeli league title.

Gerzicich and the Kiryat Shmona defense will attempt to slow down Argentine midfielder Pedro Galván, who lead Yehuda with 10 goals this season. Both clubs come into the match healthy after a week off and will look for their first win of the 2012-13 playoffs.

Leonard Krupnik does not figure to play as Maccabi Netanya play Hapoel Acre.

Ryan Adeleye and Hapoel Ashkelon host Sektzia Nes Tziona in Liga Leumit action.
