MATHEW WAGNER - Tuesday, April 2, 2013
Mikkel Diskerud made it on the goalsheet for Rosenborg, while Steve Clark, Kenneth di Vita Jensen and Hønefoss got off the sneide for their first win since July 2012.

Rosenborg Trondheim 4 - 0 Brann Bergen

Mikkel Diskerud scored his first goal of the season in Rosenborg's rout of Brann on Monday.

The American midfielder went the distance in central midfield for Rosenborg.

After knocking on the door a few times in the first half, Rosenborg managed to get the opening goal in the 49th minute. Off a free kick, Brann goalkeeper Piotr Leciejewski blocked Tarik Elyounoussi's original shot, but Mikael Dorsin took the rebound and slotted the ball home for the goal.

Just four minutes later, Diskerud opened up his goal account in 2013 to double Rosenborg's lead. Dorsin made a run into the box with the ball, forcing defenders to crash on him. He then passed it back to Diskerud, who beat his defender at the six-yard-line and slid it home.

The Troll Kids added another goal in the 85th minute. After Elyounoussi stole possession away from the Brann defenders, Bořek Dočkal picked up the ball at the edge of the 18-yard box and beat Leciejewsku to his right.

Rosenborg added insult to injury in the first minute of stoppage time. Elyounoussi tried a chip pass to Dorsin in the 18-yard box, and even though a Brann defender did get a head to it, the pass reached its intended target. Dorsin had to make a 180-degree turn while shooting in order to create the chance, and the goal capped off the rout.

Rosenborg has picked up six points through two matches in the league. The Troll Kids return to action Sunday at Sogndal.

Molde FK 1 - 2 Lillestrøm SK

Josh Gatt and Molde lost two consecutive matches for the first time under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær following a loss to Lillestrøm on Tuesday.

Gatt started the match at left wing and played 87 minutes for Molde in the losing effort.

Lillestrøm shocked the home side by leading the lead in the 14th minute. The Molde defense gave up possession on the left side, allowing Petter Vaagan Moen to have a good look at net from just seven yards away. Moen made Molde pay for that mistake.

Molde found an equalizer in the 71st minute. After a clearance from a set piece, Magnus Wolff Eikrem chipped the ball bad into the 18-yard box, where former Columbus Crew midfielder flicked it on with his head to Joona Toivio. The Finnish defender got around the left side of the defense and hammered the shot into the opposite corner of the goal.

Lillestrøm managed to retake the lead five minutes later, though. Following a foul by left back Knut Olav Rindarøy, Moen curled a free kick into the box that met Frode Kippe, who headed the ball into the net.

The loss drops Molde to 13th place on zero points. The team returns to action Saturday at Brann.

Hønefoss BK 2 - 0 Strømsgodset IF Drammen

Steve Clark, Kenneth di Vita Jensen and Hønefoss ended the Tippeligaen's longest losing streak with a big win over Strømsgodset on Tuesday.

Both Clark and di Vita Jensen went the distance for Hønefoss - Clark at goalkeeper and di Vita Jensen at forward. Going into the match, Hønefoss hadn't won a match since July 28, 2012.

Hønefoss started the match with the better chances, but Strømsgodset picked it up and tried to impose its will on the match, forcing Clark to make a few saves in net. After a goalless first half, things evened out early in the second half, with the home team becoming more and more dangerous.

In the 80th minute, Hønefoss finally broke through and got a goal. It started with Riku Riski getting behind the defense and being taken down in the 18-yard box by Kim André Madsen, who received a straight red card. Riski stepped up and converted the penalty in the 81st minute.

Substitute Aleksander Solli sealed the win for Hønefoss in the 90th minute with a free kick from more than 30 yards away. He placed it into the top right-hand corner to double Hønefoss' lead.

With the win, Hønefoss moved up to sixth place, and the team returns to action Sunday at Aalesund
