MATHEW WAGNER - Sunday, April 14, 2013
Late goals sunk Americans in Norway, as Mikkel Diskerud and Rosenborg's perfect record went by the wayside and Steve Clark, Kenneth di Vita Jensen and Hønefoss lost a close match.

Rosenborg Trondheim 1 - 1 Start Kristiansand

Mikkel Diskerud and Rosenborg ended their perfect start to the Tippeligaen season by allowing a late equalizer to Start on Friday.

Diskerud started and went 85 minutes in central midfield for the Troll Kids.

Off a free kick in the eighth minute, Start almost managed to get the ball out of the 18-yard box, but Rosenborg's Tarik Elyounoussi came back from deep in the box to corral it. He took a shot from 17 yards away that went through a crowd of players and into the back of the net.

The match became dull after that, going for a long time without too many chances, but a late equalizer from Start changed that.

In the 87th minute, Espen Børufsen ended up with the ball deep in the penalty area and took a shot from a sharp angle. The shot got past Rosenborg goalkeeper Alexander Lund Hansen and deflected off a sliding Per Verner Rønning into the back of the net.

With the tie, Rosenborg dropped into second place, and the team returns to action next Sunday at Haugesund.

Molde FK 1 - 2 Sogndal

Josh Gatt and Molde's horrid start to the season stretched to four matches with a loss to Sogndal on Saturday.

Gatt returned to the starting lineup and picked up his first yellow card of the season in the 79th minute, but his inclusion couldn't stop Molde from going down early to the visitors.

In the 17th minute, Sogndal charged forward after Molde gave away possession in its own zone, ending with Ricardo Santos having the ball. A Molde defender managed to get a foot to the ball to deflect it, but the ball ended up back with Santos, who sent a shot that goalkeeper Ole Söderberg got a hand to but didn't stop from going into the net.

Molde controlled possession for much of the match following the goal but lacked attacking menace, which doomed the team when Songdal scored again in the 86th minute. Magnus Stamnestrø came off the bench for Sogndal to beat Söderberg through his five-hole.

Molde pulled one back five minutes into stoppage through Etzaz Hussain, but it turned out to be a consolation goal. With the loss, Molde continues to occupy last place in the Tippeligaen standings with zero points, and the team returns to action next Saturday at Odd.

Hønefoss BK 0 - 1 FK Haugesund

Despite having the majority of chances, a late goal sunk Steve Clark, Kenneth di Vita Jensen and Hønefoss against Haugesund on Sunday.

Clark went the distance in goal for Hønefoss, while di Vita Jensen started and played 61 minutes at forward in the losing effort.

Hømefoss controlled the match but couldn't find the back of the net, which came to haunt the team in the 85th minute. From the right wing, Vegard Skjerve played a through ball to Christian Gytkjær in the box, where Gytkjær managed to slip the ball past Clark from a tough angle.

With the loss, Hønefoss dropped into 13th place in the Tippeligaen standings. The team returns to action next Sunday at Sandnes Ulf.
