Maurice Edu returned from injury and played 90 minutes as Bursaspor and Akhisar Belediye played to a draw.

The fourth place Green Crocodiles were looking for a win at Akhisar on Saturday but the visitor's were able to manage a point and are clear of the relegation zone.

Veteran Greek striker Theofanis Gekas gave the hosts the lead in the 21st minute when he beat Scott Carson after a costly turnover in the Bursaspor defense.

Bursaspor's talented Argentine midfielder Pablo Batalla leveled the match just minutes later. In the 31st minute, Batalla headed a cross past a diving Oguz Daglaroglu for his 15th goal of the season.

The Green Crocodiles had plenty of second half opportunities but Daglaroglu kept them out of the net and they were forced to settle for a draw. Edu picked up a yellow card for diving in the 88th minute when he tried to draw a penalty.

Bursaspor travel to 17th place Orduspor next week and can move into third place with a win and a Beşiktaş loss.
