MATHEW WAGNER - Sunday, April 28, 2013
Things went from bad to worse for Josh Gatt and Molde with yet another loss, while Mikkel Diskerud and Rosenborg suffered their second consecutive loss.

Rosenborg Trondheim 0 - 1 Sandnes Ulf

Mikkel Diskerud and Rosenborg imploded on themselves in a loss to Sandnes Ulf on Sunday.

Diskerud played 60 minutes in central midfield for Rosenborg in the losing effort.

Sandnes Ulf created very few chances in the first half but managed to score the match's only goal in the 23rd minute. After a looping clearance from the backline went into Rosenborg's half of the field, Tosaint Ricketts headed it forward to Steinthór Thorsteinsson, who was clear on net thanks to a bad angle taken by a Rosenborg center back. Thorsteinsson took a couple of touches and beat the goalkeeper from a tight angle just off the right side of the six-yard box.

That scoreline held until halftime, with Rosenborg not really threatening. The Troll Kids came out of the break with more urgency and even hit the post once, but that changed when captain Tore Reginiussen received a straight red card in the 65th minute for taking down Tommy Høiland in the box. Alexander Lund Hansen saved the subsequent penalty.

Rosenborg lost another player in stoppage time, when Nicki Bille Nielsen got into an altercation with Sandnes Ulf goalkeeper Sean McDermott. With the loss, Rosenborg dropped into fifth place, and the Troll Kids return to action on Saturday at Aalesund.

Sarpsborg 08 FF 1 - 1 Hønefoss BK

Steve Clark, Kenneth di Vita Jensen and Hønefoss picked up a point on the road against Sarpsborg on Sunday.

Clark started and went the distance at goalkeeper for Hønefoss, while di Vita came in the final minute of stoppage time.

The first half went back and forth between both teams, but it was Sarpsborg which took the lead into halftime. In the 38th minute, Claes Jørgensen, who was on the left wing, played Martin Wiig through to a one-on-one with Clark. Wiig didn't miss.

In the second half, Hønefoss created the majority of the second half, and it finally paid off in the 74th minute. Remond Mendy passed the ball through to Riku Riski, who beat Duwayne Kerr to the near post.

From there, neither team could find the match-winning goal. Hønefoss holds onto 13th place with the tie, and the team returns to action next Sunday against Tromsø.

Molde FK 1 - 2 Strømsgodset IF Drammen

Josh Gatt and Molde left it till too late to try and come back against Strømsgodset on Sunday, extending the defending back-to-back Norwegian champions winless start to six matches.

Gatt went the distance at right wing for Molde.

Strømsgodset took the lead in the 30th minute through Lars Christopher Vilsvik. The left back stole the ball in the air and headed down toward his feet. Vilsvik let one fly from 19 yards away that curved past Ole Söderberg's outstretched hands.

The away team took that lead into halftime and wasted little time doubling it after the restart. In the 53rd minute, Muhamed Keita received a through ball to create a two-on-two situation. While Söderberg and Molde defender Even Hovland stopped the first two attempts, Keita finished off the second rebound with a wide-open net.

Molde pulled one back in the 83rd minute when Daniel Chima picked up the ball after a scramble on the edge of the six-yard box and fired it into the back of the net. Molde had a chance toward the end but Hovland's goal didn't count because he was offside.

With the loss, Molde continues to occupy last place in the Tippeligaen, and the team returns to action next Monday against Monday.

Bryne FK 4 - 0 FK Bodø/Glimt

Zarek Valentin and Bodø/Glimt had a nightmare second half in a big loss at Bryne on Sunday.

The winger on-loan from Montreal started and went the distance at right back in the losing effort.

After a sloppy first half, Bryne started its rout of Bodø/Glimt by scoring three goals in a 14-mintue span. It started in the 53rd minute, when Jon Helge Tveita sent in a cross to Oddbjørn Skartun, who needed two attempts to get the ball into the back of the net.

Skartun added another goal just three minutes later, when Marius Lode sent a through ball to him. Skartun beat goalkeeper Pavel Londak to the ball and heads it on net.

In the 67th minute, Skartun set up Aram Khalili's goal by sending in a cross, which Khalili finished from close range. Khalili added another goal for Bryne in the second minute of stoppage time on a penalty to cap off Bodø/Glimt's horrible day.

With the loss, Bodø/Glimt fell into seventh place in the Adeccoligaen. The team returns to action next Sunday against Follo.

Notes

Rhett Bernstein didn't dress for Mjøndalen in the team's 2-0 loss to Hamarkameratene on Sunday.
