Bryan Gerzicich hopes to return to the lineup as Ironi Kiryat Shmona face off with Maccabi Tel Aviv on Saturday.
Ironi Kiryat Shmona - Maccabi Tel Aviv
Gerzicich did not play last week in a disappointing 1-0 loss at home to Bnei Yehuda, which saw them lose ground to Hapoel Tel Aviv and the coveted third position, the key to European qualification. With only three league matches remaining, Saturday's match against first place Maccabi Tel Aviv is a must-win.
Tel Aviv has already clinched the league title, their 20th in their history and may rest some normal starter's as the coast into the offseason. The Yellows are led by Eliran Atar, who has a league leading 22 goals this season.
Overshadowing the Tel Aviv championship are rumors that their in-demand coach Óscar García has received an offer from La Liga's Levante, which would see him return to his native Spain.
Kiryat Shmona are lead by Shimon Abuhatzira, who is often their only goal scoring threat and will need goals to get the vital three points this weekend. They'll need to be focused on Saturday and not be tempted to look ahead to the State Cup final on Wednesday against Hapoel Ramat Gan.
Leonard Krupnik does not figure to play as Maccabi Netanya host Hapoel Be'er Sheva.
Ryan Adeleye and Hapoel Ashkelon play Beitar Shimshon Tel Aviv in Liga Leumit relegation playoffs.
