SCOTT PETERSON - Monday, May 20, 2013
Michael Bradley got the start for Roma in the final match of the Serie A season as the Romans knocked off Napoli.

Bradley put in 90 minutes of work in Sunday's match, which by and large served as a tune-up ahead of Sunday's Coppa Italia final.

The initial stanza closed with an excellent chance for the Romans to open the scoring, but Mattia Destro hammered a rebound off the post, got it back only to muff his shot and have it cleared off the line.

Roma did not need long to get on the board in half number two. Erik Lamela controlled the ball beautifully with his chest, before laying off for Marquinho. The Brazilian blasted a right-footed effort into the upper 90 to put Roma up a goal in the 47th minute.

The Romans doubled their advantage ten minutes later with Destro getting it right this time around and beating keeper Rosati with a left-footed shot that just eked its way over the line.

Napoli pulled one back late on through Cavani, who pounced on a loose ball and tapped home into an empty net.

With the victory, Roma finish off a solid season in sixth place, one ahead of arch rivals, and Coppa Italia opponent, Lazio.

The Coppa Italia final is slated for Sunday afternoon at 6 p.m. local time in the Stadio Olimpico.
