Molde's American winger Josh Gatt underwent knee surgery Wednesday in Norway which will end his season.

Gatt, 21, was injured on June 29 playing for Molde in a game against Sarpsborg and was subsequently removed from the U.S national team Gold Cup roster.

Gatt is currently in his third season with Molde after joining in January 2011 following a six month stint with Altach in Austria to being his career. In his first two seasons he was an important player for Molde and helped the club win their first ever Norwegian titles in 2011 and 2012.

After a dismal start to the 2013 season, Molde currently sit in 10th place in the Tippeligaen. The club is also still alive in UEFA Champions League qualifying after defeating Ireland's Sligo Rovers in the second qualifying round.
