It appears as if Jurgen Klinsmann will receive a major boost to the backline as John Anthony Brooks looks set to join the U.S team for the Bosnia game.

The news was reported by Kicker today that Brooks was called up but an independent source close to the player independently confirmed the report to YA. "Yes the report is true," the source said.

Brooks, 20, is a rising star in German after anchoring Hertha Berlin's defense last year and guiding the team to promotion. The 6'4" central defender was a regular starter for Hertha Berlin last year and helped the team to promotion.

Hertha head coach Michael Preetz told Kicker on Brooks callup to the US team:"The appointment will give him a boost"

Brooks made headlines recently in the United States when he rejected a callup to the US U20 team for the World Cup by citing the need to rest in the offseason.
