Both Chuck Chijindu and Josh Wicks went the distance for Thor as the team from Akureyri drew its second game in a row at home against Fylkir on Monday.
Wicks looks to be assured the start for the team as long as the goalie remains healthy. Chijindu continues to be Thor's most valuable player, starting at forward and scoring another goal. His seven goal total in 2013 is good enough for fourth place in the league's top scoring charts.
It was Chijindu who got the scoring started on the day, giving Thor the lead in the 16th minute.
It took Fylkir only two minutes to answer with forward Vidar Kjartansson tying the game up in the 18th minute.
Fylkir took the lead in the 20th minute when defender Finnur Olafsson put his penalty kick past Wicks.
In an entertaining first half Thor managed to level the match through Mark Tubaek in the 43rd minute.
Neither team took the chance to win the game in the second half and shared the points.
Thor remains in ninth place, two places and three points above the division's relegation zone. The team now hits the road to take on fifth place Valur on Sunday.
