BRIAN SCIARETTA - Monday, October 14, 2013
After spending most of his professional career in the lower divisions in England, American forward Mike Grella has signed with Viborg in the Danish Superliga.

The 26 year old striker from Long Island confirmed the message on Tuesday.

"Signed for Viborg FF today in the Danish Superliga," Grella said. "Looking forward to this new challenge"

After a college career at Duke University, Grella began his professional career in 2009 with Leeds United where he went on loan twice to Carlisle United and Swindon Town. Afterward he spend time with Brentford, Bury, and most recently Scunthorpe United.

At Viborg, Grella will be joining a club which currently sits in fourth place in Denmark's top flight and he will have American central defender Jide Ogunbiyi as his teammate.

Grella could make his Viborg debut on Sunday when the club visits Brondby.
