Jozy Altidore had a frustrating day but his Sunderland drew at Cardiff City, while Geoff Cameron and Stoke City lost big at Tottenham.

Aston Villa 1-1 Swansea City

Brad Guzan and Aston Villa stopped their losing streak with a draw against Swansea City at home.

Guzan went the distance and recorded two saves in the match.

Villa found the back of the net first as Gabriel Agbonlahor notched for the home side in the 7th minute, however Roland Lamah leveled the match in the 36th minute for the Swans.

Swansea had the better of the play in the second half of the match, but Villa was able to keep them from scoring.

Despite breaking their four game losing skid, the draw keeps Villa in the bottom half of the standings and just four points above the drop zone.

They take on Sunderland on Wednesday.

Cardiff City 2-2 Sunderland

Jozy Altidore and Sunderland notched a come from behind draw at Cardiff City.

The American forward started and played the full ninety minutes for the Black Cats.

Cardiff played the majority of the game as the better team and were rewarded by goals from Jordon Mutch in the 6th minute and Frazier Campbell in the 58th minute.

Nevertheless, Sunderland bounced back with a strong final quarter of the match to level the contest.

Steven Fletcher knocked in the Black Cats' first goal in the 83rd minute, and Jack Colback's deflected effort found the back of the net deep into injury time earn Sunderland a point.

Altidore had plenty of chances in the match, but was unable to break his scoring drought. Despite not scoring, the American forward was instrumental in Sunderland's strong play at the end of the match.

Sunderland is still at the bottom of the table, but they are now just two points from safety.

The Black Cats take on Aston Villa on Wednesday.

Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 Stoke City

Geoff Cameron and Stoke City lost big at Tottenham this weekend.

The American defender went the distance at central defense for the Potters, while Brek Shea and Maurice Edu did not dress.

Brad Friedel made the game day roster for Spurs but did not feature.

Tottenham notched their first goal in the 37th minute when Roberto Soldado converted his penalty kick.

Then a four minute spurt in the second half saw Mousa Dembele and Aaron Lennon find the back of the net in the 65th and 69th minutes respectively for Spurs.

The Potters held only 32% of possession throughout the match and only managed one shot on goal.

Stoke is in 12th place in the standings and will look to improve when they take on Everton on Wednesday.

Spurs are in 7th place and trail Liverpool for the Europa League position by just two points. They look to keep their momentum going on Wednesday against Manchester United.

Leicester City 5-3 Bolton Wanderers

Tim Ream and Bolton lost a thriller to Championship leaders' Leicester City on Sunday.

Ream went the distance in Bolton's backline, while teammate Stuart Holden is still recovering from knee surgery and did not dress.

Bolton had the lead twice in the match with goals from Andre Moritz in the 15th minute, Jermaine Beckford in the 20th minute, and Andre Moritz in the 39th minute.

Ream assisted in Bolton's third goal of the match.

The Foxes however had too much fire power and won the match with goals from Daniel Drinkwater, Antony Knockaert, Lloyd Dyer, and Gary Taylor-Fletcher. Their third tally of the match came on an own-goal by Bolton's Matthew Mills.

Leicester continues at the top of the table and take on Millwall in the midweek in hopes of their fourth straight victory.

Bolton is in 18th place and seven points above the relegation zone. They take on Middlesbrough on Wednesday.

Nottingham Forest 2-1 Leeds United

Eric Lichaj and Nottingham Forest defeated Gregory Ariyibi and Leeds United in a clash between promotion hopefuls.

Lichaj went the distance for Forest, while Ariyibi came on to play the final 30 minutes of the match.

Greg Halford opened the scoring for Forest in the 23rd minute, but Leeds equalized in the 83rd minute with a goal form Ross McCormack.

Just moments later however Forest's Matt Derbyshire rocketed a shot from 25-yards out to give the home side the victory.

Forest is now in 5th place and they look to further climb the ladder when they take on Reading on Wednesday.

Leeds is just outside the playoff zone in 7th place and trail Ipswich Town by just goal differential. They look to bounce back with a win against Blackburn in the midweek.

Middlesbrough 3-0 Reading

Danny Williams and Reading fell to Middlesbrough easily on Sunday.

Williams went the distance for Reading, while Seb Hines dressed but did not see the field for Boro.

The opening goal of the game came in the 12th minute by Boro's Albert Adomah.

Grant Leadbitter then added a second goal for the home side in the 36th minute and then notched his brace when he converted his penalty kick in the 82nd minute.

In the 52nd minute Kaspars Gorkss received his second yellow card of the match and was sent off, leaving Reading with the eventual insurmountable hurdle to climb.

The Royals are now in 9th place and hope to bounce back on Wednesday against Nottingham Forest.

Boro is in 15th place and hope to extend their win streak to four games against Bolton in the midweek.


Tim Howard was suspended and did not feature in Everton's win over Southampton.

Duane Holmes played the final 13 minutes in Huddersfield Town's big win over Yeovil Town.

Zak Whitbread did not feature in Derby County's win over Barnsley.

Oguchi Onyweu did not dress in Queens Park Rangers' scoreless draw against Watford.

Will Packwood and Jonathan Spector did not feature in Birmingham City's win over Blackburn
