BRANDON WIGGINS - Friday, January 31, 2014
Alejandro Bedoya and FC Nantes will head on the road this weekend to take on FC Sochaux in Ligue 1 action.

Nantes has gone a couple of rough weeks without a win, including a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of league leaders Paris Saint-Germain. As a result, Nantes has dropped to eighth place in Ligue 1, although they are still only four points behind Saint Etienne for the fourth and final European cup place.

Although those matches were disappointing for Nantes, Bedoya was able to see a lot of playing time in both, a positive sign for the midfielder who will need as many opportunities on the field for his club as possible to impress Jurgen Klinsmann and earn a roster spot on the World Cup team this summer.

Now, Bedoya and Nantes take on a struggling Sochaux team that currently sits second-to-last in Ligue 1 and hasn't won a match outright since the first week of January in what should be a decent chance to bounce back to their winning ways.

The two clubs have already met once this season, at Nantes in a match Bedoya and company won 1-0. Bedoya started and went 75 minutes in that match.

Bedoya will have to be careful this weekend as he has one yellow card in Ligue 1.
