United States Under-20 midfielder Amando Moreno has transferred from the New York Red Bulls to Club Tijuana in Liga MX.

Sources confirmed to YA that the deal was formally completed on Wednesday and Moreno has already begun to train with the Mexican club.

As part of the deal, the Red Bulls would continue to hold Moreno's rights should the New Jersey native ever decide to return to MLS. Moreno signed with the Red Bulls in 2012 as a homegrown player.

As a Mexican-American dual national, Moreno has been a big part of the current U.S. U-20 team under head coach Tab Ramos. Last month Ramos admitted that he sees Moreno as a player he can "count on" for the rest of the cycle.
