Alejandro Bedoya will look to keep some positive momentum in Ligue 1 going when they host Bordeaux on Saturday.

Bedoya and Nantes finally put an end to what was a nine-match streak without a win last weekend when they beat Montpellier 2-1.

The win bought the club some critical breathing room in the fight to avoid the relegation zone in Ligue 1. Nantes now has eight points of breathing room above the relegation zone.

A home match will be a good chance to for Nantes to add some more breathing room between itself and the drop zone. Bordeaux sits just in the top half of the Ligue 1 table, but is in poor currently, having gone four straight matches without a win.

Bedoya has been seeing the field regularly for Nantes, and came on in the 51st minute in their win over Montpellier.

The American is not on the roster for the National Team's match against Mexico because it is not an official FIFA date, and while he does have a good chance to make the World Cup camp in May, he needs to remain in good club form to ensure a spot on the World Cup roster, especially with the increased competition at midfield thanks to the addition of Julian Green.

Bedoya must also be careful to avoid a yellow card in this match, because he already has two in Ligue 1 play.
