U.S. national team and Toronto FC midfielder Michael Bradley underwent foot surgery on Tuesday to repair nerve damage.
According to reports, the 27-year-old will return to Toronto later this week, where the team will set a timeline for his recovery.
Bradley had been bothered by foot troubles throughout the course of the MLS regular season, his first with the Canadian side since making his return to the league in the January transfer window. He played 25 games for the Reds this season scoring two goals along with four assists.
While Toronto's season may be over, it is still up in the air as to whether the former Roma player will be in head coach Jurgen Klinsmann's plans when the United States heads to Europe to play its final two friendlies of the year. The team will take on Colombia in London on November 14 and Ireland on November 18 in Dublin.
