Rhett Bernstein and First Division side Mjondalen are on the verge of moving up to the Tippeligaen, but will have to overcome Brann as the first leg of the promotion/relegation playoff gets underway.
Mjondalen, which finished third in the First Division standings, have been on a tear as of late as they have gone unbeaten in their last five games. They have also shown that they will be a tough team to crack as they have played well throughout the playoff phase. Their most impressive outing so far was last week's 4-1 win over Baerum.
On the verge of elimination after going down 1-0, the team were somehow able to find the equalizer well into stoppage time before going on to score three more goals to guarantee them a place in the final.
Mjondalen are a determined side that will certainly do all they can to get a positive result that will put the back in the top division for the first time since 1992.
However, they will be facing a Brann team that has had much time to rest and prepare for the final.
The Bergen-based side were on the verge of automatic relegation from the Tippeligaen before a surge late in the season pushed them up to 14th place in the standings, good enough for the playoff spot.
Normally teams from the top division would have the upper hand in playoff finals, but in this case Brann may have their hands full trying to maintain their status in the top flight for next season.
As for Bernstein, it is highly likely that he will come off the bench for Mjondalen.
The first leg will take place at the Brann Stadium.
