SOUTHAMPTON RELEASE CROPPER
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
KENYA BROWN - Tuesday, May 26, 2015
The end of the English Premier League season also spells the time for the pink slips to come out, and American goalkeeper Cody Cropper was one of the few at Southampton to get his on Tuesday.

Southampton made the announcement on their official website that the 22-year-old will not have his contract extended along with Jos Hooiveld, Artur Boruc, Omar Rowe, Jake Sinclair and Chris Johns.

The 6-4 netminder had signed with the Saints in 2012 after being released by Ipswich Town. Despite playing for a side that used many young players in the team, Cropper was down the depth chart as fellow goalkeepers Fraser Forster, Paulo Gazzaniga and Kelvin Davies were chosen ahead of him.

Cropper will now be looking for a new team as he prepares for the Olympic qualifiers with the U.S. under-23 national team.
