KENYA BROWN - Tuesday, August 18, 2015
It looks like United States midfield Fabian Johnson will be on the shelf for a few weeks after suffering an injury in training on Sunday with Borussia Mönchengladbach.

It is not clear as to what injury the 27-year-old has suffered, but some media reports say it is a torn calf muscle while others say it is a torn right hamstring. Officials at Mönchengladbach have said that Johnson will be out "for the time being."

The Munich-born Johnson was in the starting lineup for the Foals in their 4-0 drubbing by Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

Johnson's injury is not good news for the U.S. national team as they have upcoming games against Peru on Sept. 4 and Brazil on Sept. 8. They will then face Mexico on Oct. 10 in Pasenda, California, in the 2017 Confederations Cup playoff game.
