United States head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has called up midfielders Graham Zusi and Cristian Pulisic for Tuesday's World Cup qualifier against Guatemala in Columbus, Ohio.
The team will be looking to defeat Los Chapines after losing to them 2-0 on Friday in Guatemala City.
Zusi, who plays for MLS side Sporting KC, was a part of the team that played at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. He has amassed 32 caps and scored three goals for the U.S.
Pulisic, the 17-year-old Borussia Dortmund player, is receiving his first call up to the senior team. He represented the Under-17s at the 2015 World Cup in Chile. The Pennsylvania native was suffering from a cold, which prevented him from joining the team in Guatemala, but it appears has recovered enough to join them for the qualifier in Columbus.
The pair replaces John Anthony Brooks, Matt Besler and Fabian Johnson, all of whom were sent back to their club teams due to injuries.
Currently, Trinidad and Tobago sit atop of Group C with seven points, while Guatemala are one point behind. The U.S. are in third place with four points.
