KENYA BROWN - Tuesday, November 8, 2016
Alan Gordon has been called-up to the US national team to replace the injured Jordan Morris, US Soccer announced on Tuesday.
The news comes as the US are preparing for their upcoming CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers against Mexico and Costa Rica.
Morris was listed as questionable coming into the camp after suffering a hamstring strain during the Seattle Sounders playoff win over FC Dallas at the weekend.
Gordon, 35, comes into the camp after playing for the Los Angeles Galaxy in their playoff loss to the Colorado Rapids. He has two caps for the US and last played for the team in the 2015 Gold Cup semifinal loss to Jamaica.
The California native will very likely be used as a substitute as fellow forwards Jozy Altidore, Bobby Wood and Aron Johannsson are ahead of him on the depth chart.
