CHANDLER, FRANKFURT EXTEND DEAL
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
KENYA BROWN - Wednesday, December 21, 2016
US defender Timmy Chandler has signed a contract extension with German Bundesliga team Eintracht Frannkfurt, the team announced on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old, who was born in Frankfurt, was a part of the team's youth system before heading to Nurnberg, where he saw his first action as a professional player. However, he would return to Frankfurt in 2014 and has become an integral part of the team, where they are currently in third place in the standings.

Chandler has so far played in 16 games for the Eagles this season as they look to pursue their hunt for a Champions League spot.

The right back has also found himself challenging to be starter for the US national team as he was favored ahead of DeAndre Yedlin in their first two CONCACAF Hexagonal World Cup qualifiers in November.

I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, ladies and gentlemen, but Michael Orozco will start for the US men's national team in Jacksonville.
