Matt Miazga came off the bench in Vitesse's win over AZ Alkmaar in a quiet weekend for most of the Americans playing in Holland.

Vitesse boosted their chances of making the top four in the Eredivisie standings with their win over AZ at GelreDome.

Lewis Baker opened the scoring for Vitesse in the 10th minute when received a pass from teammate Adnane Tighadouini to put away an impressive right-footed shot that curled just inside the far post.
Nathan doubled the host's lead 51 minutes into the second half when he collected a lobbed pass from Guram Kashia, worked his way past two defenders before putting away his shot into an empty net.
The win leaves Vitesse in seventh place in the standings with 30 points - three points behind fourth place Heerenveen.
Desevio Payne watched from the bench as Groningen's game with Heerenveen ended in a 0-0 tie.
