KENYA BROWN - Monday, February 6, 2017
US youth international Brooks Lennon has been officially loaned to Major League Soccer's Real Salt Lake, Liverpool announced on Monday.
The 19-year-old, who played at RSL's academy, will remain with the Western Conference team for the duration of the MLS season.
The forward made the move to Merseyside in the summer of 2015 and has made quite the impression as he made the move from the Under-18 team to the Under-23's this season.
"Brooks is another in a long line of great stories from our academy. They don't all follow the same path, but we are proud to play a part in their development and get them on the field with Real Salt Lake," RSL general manager Craig Waibel said in a statement on the team's website. "We've been following his development closely and to bring him back gives him a great opportunity to play first-team soccer."
Lennon has been with the team at their training camp in Arizona as it prepares for the start of the MLS season. He will also be looking to help the US Under-20 national team qualify for the FIFA Under-20 World Cup as they participate in the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship later this month in Costa Rica.
