Matt Miazga came off the bench for a second straight game for Vitesse as they held to the top spot in the Eredivisie following their win over Roda JC.

Vitesse won their second game of the season as the took all three points in the 3-1 victory over Roda JC at the
Parkstad Limburg Stadion.

Last season's Dutch Cup winners continued to impress this early in the season following their 4-1 hammering of NAC Breda last week.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 40th minute through Tim Matavz. Frederic Ananou's horrible back pass fell to the Slovenian and he curled his shot past goalkeeper Hidde Jurjus.

However, Roda would level the score in the 64th minute when Milot Rashica brought down a player in the area. Simon Gustafson would step up to take the penalty, but his shot hit the post. Luckily, for Roda, the ball hit goalkeeper Remko Pasveer and went into the net.
