Ethan Horvath earned the shutout as Club Brugge came away with a narrow victory over Royal Antwerp to maintain their lead at the top of Belgium's Jupiler League standings.
Club Brugge 1 - 0 Royal Antwerp
With Ethan Horvath between the sticks, Club Brugge continued their winning streak, making it five wins in a row while the American shot-stopper picked up his fourth clean sheet of the season.
Against a well-organized Antwerp team, the breakthrough came less than ten minutes before the intermission when Club's Swiss defender, Saulo Decarli netted his first goal of the season and gave the home team the lead that they would never surrender.
With the victory and Charleroi only managing to collect a point on the road, Club's lead at the top has been extended to eight points.
Next up will be a midweek clash as Club travels to Genk on Wednesday night. Although at the wrong end of the table, Genk came away with a weekend victory over defending champions, Anderlecht.
Sporting Lokeren threw away a halftime lead and shared the points with Charleroi however; young Juan Pablo Torres did not even make it to the bench this weekend in this 1-1 game.
KAA Gent also came away with just one point as they traveled south to Kortrijk in this 1-1 contest. Kenny Saief, who has yet to feature in the Pro League this campaign, still remains sidelined.
