INJURY ENDS WILLIAMS' SEASON
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
KENYA BROWN - Tuesday, March 20, 2018
Huddersfield Town midfielder Danny Williams has been shut down for the rest of the English Premier League season as he suffered a fractured fibula.

The injury occurred to 29-year-old during training with the team ahead of their clash with Crystal Palace over the weekend.

Team officials reported that Williams underwent surgery last Friday and he will not return to action until next season. He started 11 games for the Terriers this season.

News of the injury was a downer for Huddersfield head coach David Wagner as he works hard to ensure the team's EPL survival.

"We are all disappointed that Danny has suffered this injury and now we offer him our full support as he begins his recovery," Wagner said on Huddersfield's official website. "He's adapted well to football in the Premier League and has been in some great form for us recently.

"He's a big character in the dressing room too, and I have no doubt that he will be determined to come back fitter and stronger than before."

Williams has been in and out of the US national team picture since making the switch to represent the country several years ago.
