GREEN STAYS AT GREUTHER FURTH
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
KENYA BROWN - Sunday, June 17, 2018
Julian Green is now a permanent member of German 2. Bundesliga Greuther Furth as they reached an agreement with his former team VfB Stuttgart.

The 23-year-old forward has signed a two-year deal with the team as they look to improve last season's performance in which they just avoided relegation.

According to Stuttgart sporting director Michael Reschke, the deal works for all parties.

"The loan move of Julian to Fürth definitely made sense for all involved and it is thus logical that he should play for that club in the future. We wish Julian all the very best for his future career," he said.

The German-American saw regular playing time for Greuther Furth for the first time in his career as he went on to play in 23 games, scoring three goals. One of those goals came in the Kleeblatter's 1-1 tie with Heidenheim, ensuring that they would remain in the second tier next season.

Green has also made a return to the US national team as he was recently a part of the group that played in a series of friendlies against Bolivia, Ireland, and France.
