Should U.S. Soccer bring back the U.S. Cup?
Absolutely. It would be far more competitive than the CONCACAF Nations League.
No. The international calendar is already congested.
Not sure.
KENYA BROWN - Tuesday, March 12, 2019
US national team head coach Gregg Berhalter announced on Tuesday a 24-man roster for their friendlies against Ecuador and Chile as he continues to evaluate players in the pool.

This will be the first camp in which Berhalter will included some European-based players after the January camp that comprised of only MLS players.

Making their way into the team are the German Bundesliga quad of John Brooks, Tyler Adams, Christian Pulisic, and Weston McKennie. DeAndre Yedlin, Matt Miazga and Tim Ream make up the English contingent.

Ethan Horvath makes his return to the team after playing well in Belgium with Club Brugge. He will battle Zack Steffen and Sean Johnson to see who will play between the post.

The attack is an all MLS contingent, with Jordan Morris making his return after recovering from a knee injury to once again play for the Seattle Sounders.

A couple of notable omissions from the group are Tim Weah, who has been playing in Scotland for Celtic, although mostly coming off the bench, and Josh Sargent who has made inroads with Werder Bremen.

This period is crucial for the US as Berhalter will be looking to make the right choices as they prepare for this summer's CONCACAF Gold Cup.

"Our goal is to keep making progress. Building on the themes of last camp, building on the style of play of last camp, but also now evaluating a new group of players," said Berhalter in a statement on the US Soccer website. "We made progress in the first camp and it's now asking if we can take it to another level. When we are done with this camp, it's important that we have a good idea of our strongest group of players heading into the Gold Cup."

The 24 players will meet up for camp on March 17 before heading to Orlando, Florida to face Eucador on March 21. They will then take on Chile five days later in Houston, Texas.
