KENYA BROWN - Monday, August 5, 2019
Eric Palmer-Brown will spend the season in the Austrian Bundesliga as it was announced on Monday that the defender has been to sent on loan to Austria Wien from Manchester City.

The move comes with an option for Austria Wien to sign the 22-year-old permanently.

The former Sporting Kansas City player is coming off a loan spell last season with NAC Breda in the Dutch Eredivisie that ended with the team being relegated. Now, with the new season already underway in Austria, he will be looking to help the team challenge for the league title as well as continue his development.

Palmer-Brown said he was sold on heading to central Europe for the season based on what they can provide to help him improve as a player.

"The brand new stadium and the whole infrastructure really impressed and convinced me," he said. "What also really impressed me when I came to visit a week and a half ago was that the players immediately introduced themselves to me during the training break - that was great, says a lot about the character of the team and the club. I'm looking forward to getting to know my teammates better and I'm ready to go to work. I want to be part of the team as soon as possible and help achieve the goals of the club. My goal is to be the best team player and to show myself from my best side."

EPB may have a chance to see his first action for Austria Wien when they play in a Europa League qualifier against Apollon on Thursday or the weekend's Bundesliga clash against Mattersburg.
