US NAMES 22 FOR COSTA RICA TIE
EXTRA TIME
KENYA BROWN - Sunday, January 26, 2020
US national team head coach Gregg Berhalter revealed his 22-man roster on Saturday for their upcoming friendly against Costa Rica which is set to be played next weekend.

The game will culminate the end of the team's January camp that has taken place in Bradenton, Florida.

The MLS-laden roster was reduced from its original 26 after Paxton Pomykal, JT Marcinkowski, Jordan Morris, and Cristian Roldan were sent back to their respective teams for various reasons. The only European-based players - Ulysses Llanez and Christian Cappis - remain with the team and will most likely earn their first senior caps next week.

The players and staff have now headed to Los Angeles to make final preparations before the game against their CONCACAF rivals.

"It's been a good few weeks in Florida. The guys have worked hard and have made progress in all aspects of our game model. We now turn our focus to preparing for Costa Rica and encouraging the players to take advantage of the opportunity and finish off the month with a positive result," said Berhalter.

The United States and Costa Rica will face off at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.
