Sebastian Soto will be looking to get significant playing time under his belt away from Norwich City as it was announced that he has been sent on loan to SC Telstar in Holland's Eerste Divisie.
The deal, which was announced on Wednesday, will be for the season as the forward did not qualify for a work permit.
After struggling for consistent minutes at Hannover during the 2. Bundesliga season, the 20-year-old sought a new challenge which led to him signing with the Canaries in July. Now, he will hope to show off his goal-scoring ability in the Dutch second division when the season kicks off.
The former Real Salt Lake academy player will grace the fields opposite other Americans such as the Jong Ajax pair of Alex Mendez and Joshua Pynadath, and the Jong PSV Eindhoven duo of Richie Ledezma and Chris Gloster.
Telstar is no stranger to bringing in American players on loan. Kyle Scott and Andrijia Novakovich played with the team just a few years ago. Soto will hope to replicate the form Novakovich had when he bagged 19 goals during the 2017-2018 season.
