Keepers Tim Howard and Brad Guzan are the only yanks left standing as the Carling Cup fourth round pairings were set on Saturday afternoon.

Saturday's draw has produced it's usual David and Goliath matchups, as nouveau rich Manchester City bring their high-powered attack to Championship club Scunthorpe United and Manchester United pay a visit to cup giant-killers Barnsley, but Arsenal at home to Liverpool will surely pique the most interest in the tournament.

Howard will anchor Everton as they play away to on-fire Tottenham Hotspur, who have been taking no prisoners in the Premier League. Howard recorded his fourth consecutive shut-out in Everton's 1-0 win over Portsmouth at home, but putting a stop to the north London goalscorers will prove to be no easy task.

Guzan is set to continue in goal for Aston Villa in the League Cup, taking on Premier League opposition Sunderland. Between Guzan and mentor Brad Friedel, Villa only let in an impressive two goals in the month of September, both coming in their 2-1 lost to Blackburn.

September was an up and down month for Sunderland, winning 4-1 at home against Hull, then losing 3-1 to Burnley the next weekend.

The League Cup will be back in action Tuesday, October 27th.
